Today, as T-Cod Architecture, we would like to talk about Neoclassical style in architecture. What is the Neoclassical Style that we have applied in our Ato Göl Towers Housing Project, which we have recently designed and implemented on a turnkey basis? What conditions must be met for a neoclassical style? What are its main elements? Let's take a look at all this together.
The aim of this movement, which started in the middle of the 18th century, is to return to simplicity. In the Neoclassical style, where the aim is to create works within the framework of simplicity, the monumental building style is adopted. In this style with classical columns, forms and lines are very important in order to provide simplicity. Making symmetrical designs is an important element for the emergence of a balanced structure. The Neoclassical style, in which domed or triangular forms are used on the roofs, emerged as a reaction to unnecessary decorations. Places that can be shown as examples of Neoclassical architecture in our country are the 3rd Parliament Building, Tophane Clock Tower and Istanbul Archeology Museum. The Neoclassical style, which we mentioned in general terms in the architectural field, is also a highly preferred style in interior designs. In interior design applications, the division of the area according to the "golden ratio" rule according to each series is the prerequisite for the interior design of the Neoclassical style. The golden ratio helps to establish the house in an artistic order. In a neoclassical interior design, patterns are emphasized, which is a factor that creates softness for your home, while dark colors such as gray, black, red, moss and some bright colors such as cream and white are preferred. As in neoclassical architecture, it is essential to achieve symmetry in interior architecture. That's why two candlesticks, statues, busts or paintings that can be used in interior design are of great importance to achieve symmetry in the Neoclassical style.
