Today, stone material, which is used more and more with its good insulation, durability and sustainability, also fulfills aesthetic functions in buildings and spaces. Some of the stone materials that we encounter as carrier, coating and ornamental elements are marble, limestone, travertine, slate, granite, quartzite and sandstone. The use of natural stone, which is frequently preferred in interior architecture as well as architectural structures, adds a unique feature to the spaces. How natural stone materials come together with other materials forms the language of the design. Being strong and elegant, natural stone creates a different atmosphere indoors and outdoors as an architectural building material. Natural stone materials, which come in various textures and colors, have become the most preferred architectural building materials today due to their properties such as bearing, insulation, durability and ecological benefits. Today, natural stone materials have expanded their boundaries and are not only used as aesthetic building materials. It has started to be used in a wide range of structures such as providing structure, creating exterior and interior facades, flooring, ceiling and decoration. Stone walls have come to the forefront due to the fact that the building is resistant to harsh weather conditions, requires very little maintenance and is resistant to fire.
