INTERIOR DESIGN: CLINIC DESIGN
At T-COD Architecture, we provide services in many areas, including the healthcare sector. Clinic designs, in particular, play a very important role in interior design. Therefore, today we want to talk about how clinic designs should be and what should be considered during the design process.
HOW SHOULD CLINIC DESIGNS BE?
The most important feature that distinguishes clinic designs from other interior designs is undoubtedly that the design should make users feel comfortable and calm. The possibility of patients being tense and stressed should be taken into account. Therefore, opting for simple, spacious, and inviting designs will be the right choice. Because patients will prefer to be in a clinic where they feel good. In clinic designs, the concept and the clinic owners play an important role in the creation of the design. For example, a pediatrician's clinic is designed to be fun and play-oriented, while a dentist's office is designed to offer a calmer and more spacious environment. In clinic designs, incorporating greenery, that is, using plants in the design, greatly affects the atmosphere of the space. By adding a natural and relaxing effect, it will help patients feel more peaceful. At T-COD Architecture, in our clinic projects in 1071 Ankara, we have used greenery to create spacious and relaxing designs, providing patients with environments where they feel good.
COLOR SELECTION IN CLINIC DESIGNS
We discuss the importance of colors in architectural and interior design every week. Colors are one of the most important elements that affect our mood and give us ideas about a space. Colors also play a very important role in clinic designs. Therefore, using light colors such as white and cream in clinic designs would be a good choice. Because dark colors generally reflect a depressing mood. Using light colors will provide a cleaner feeling. Colors are also important for the corporate identity and target audience of the space. At this point, the choice of colors in the design is shaped according to the wishes of the clinic owner, the service area and concept of the clinic.
DESIGN OF RECEPTION, DOCTOR'S ROOM AND WAITING AREA IN CLINIC DESIGNS
First impressions are always very important. Therefore, the reception area, one of the most important parts of clinic design, should be one of the priority areas. Because this is the first place patients interact with and see. In order to accurately reflect the brand identity, the reception area design is an area where sensitivity should be shown in terms of color and material selection. The entrance area should reflect the clinic's area of expertise. Furniture in the waiting area should also be carefully selected. Furniture that is easy to clean, sterile, and functional will provide patients with a more hygienic environment. Care should also be taken to ensure that furniture is not placed too close together. Furthermore, using decorative items such as paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and plants can create a warmer atmosphere. The doctor's office should also have a design that complements the overall atmosphere of the space. Using appropriate colors and materials that continue the design is the right approach.
