LOFT APARTMENTS IN INTERIOR DESIGN

LOFT APARTMENTS IN INTERIOR DESIGN

Today, we at T-COD Architecture want to talk about loft apartments, which have become one of the trending lifestyles lately. Let's take a look at why loft apartments have become trendy and their features.

WHAT IS A LOFT APARTMENT?

Loft apartments are large, open-plan living spaces converted from industrial buildings. Distinguished by their spacious and open-plan design, loft apartments have no interior walls except in the bathroom. High ceilings and exposed columns and beams are among their most distinctive features. Exposed plumbing and ventilation pipes are also a striking characteristic of loft apartments. In general, the main idea behind the loft style interior design is to achieve a combination of flat and clean surfaces with bare and rough materials.

INTERIOR DESIGN FEATURES OF LOFT APARTMENT STYLE

There are characteristic features that make up loft apartments. One of these is the materials used. The materials used in loft apartments are mostly wood and concrete. Large floor-to-ceiling windows in loft apartments emphasize a sense of openness. In loft apartments, which are characterized by their open plans, acoustics are a major concern. Therefore, sound-absorbing materials should be preferred in interior design. In spaces with such high ceilings, careful selection of appropriate lighting solutions is also necessary. Highlighting the boundaries of the room with corner wall sconces will also contribute to the overall lighting of the space.

LOFT APARTMENTS

Unlike interiors with many pieces of furniture, loft apartments embrace a minimalist lifestyle. Therefore, using too much furniture would be a poor choice for a loft apartment. In loft apartments, which lack interior walls, extending the countertop to create a dining area and define the kitchen boundaries would be a good solution. Using bar stools in this area will also help you gain more space. Furthermore, in loft apartments, which are characterized by their high walls, using paintings on the walls will have a significant impact on the interior design.
