YELKEN PLAZA
In this article, T-COD Architecture wants to tell you about Yelken Plaza, a project whose main design criterion is its impact on Ankara's skyline. Let's take a look at the project details together.
YELKEN PLAZA ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES
Located on the Konya-Samsun Road, which is developing as Ankara's business and trade center, the project occupies an area of 8108 m2 and consists of offices and shops. Construction of the project began in 2010 and was completed in 2013. The project, with a closed area of 45,000 m2, includes 69 offices ranging in size from 80, 90, 100, 150, and 300 m2, and 22 shops ranging from 150 m2 to 2200 m2. The plaza, with a total construction area of 40,000 m2, consists of 3 parking floors, 4 retail floors, and 22 office floors.
YELKEN PLAZA DESIGN
The project, realized with the aim of creating a symbolic impact for Ankara, distinguishes itself from the surrounding residential fabric. It also differentiates itself from multi-story office buildings, establishing its unique identity. The shops are diversified using elevation differences, while modular workspaces of various sizes have been created on the office floors. The shops are retained within the company and leased to prestigious brands.
